  Used to be great, now not so much. Doing special offers to attract custom says it all really - no need for that with the 'old' Castle street..
  I got a meal today with no veg on the plate, no big deal, they were busy and mistakes are made. I was in a hurry so declined the offer of waiting for veg to come while the rest of my meal went cold and just said I'd eat what I'd been given for a reduced cost. The waiter, who was very apologetic, called his boss to speak to me.
  The waitress/manager then argued the toss with me about not being able to reduce the cost of the meal. Time to go to customer care school!

  Fantastic, no-nonsense, good value and friendly restaurant. A Highland institution. I often go there when visiting Inverness. The only issue is the steak pie - it's just too good that I can't see past it! I would like to try more of the menu, and on the odd occasion when I have, I haven't been disappointed. The restaurant now under new ownership, but clearly in safe and caring hands, and staying true to the Castle Restaurant tradition and values.
